Post Home

Our Post moved into our current home in the 1950’s. The building and grounds had gone through many hands in its past being built in the early 1900’s as the Hagerstown Country Club with a nine hole golf course. During the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918 the building was used as a hospital for Western Maryland Railroad employees. The property was eventually sold and served as the Hillcrest Convalescent Home where a fire caused severe damage in 1946.

Lounge

Our lounge is the most used area of the post. We serve lunch Monday through Friday and Dinner Tuesday through Saturday with limited menu available on Sunday afternoons. You can sit at the oval shaped bar or at one of the many tables. The lounge is renowned for its large windows and beautiful views overlooking the grounds. If looking at the views isn’t your style the lounge also has multiple tv’s to watch your favorite game. You can skip the watching and get in on the fun playing pool, shuffle board, darts or the Maryland Lottery slot machines. On weekends we have live music or Karaoke.

Dining Room

If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle in the lounge and are looking for a quieter dining experience the dining room is for you. This room keep the theme going having been recently renovated and showcasing the grounds through large windows wrapping the outside walls. This room can also be rented for small parties or a meeting room. Various groups use our facility to hold their meetings.

Ballroom

The largest room in the post is the ballroom. Ten years ago we scrapped up the old carpet and tile and found a beautiful wood floor underneath. The floor looked so good we had to spruce the rest of the room up too. This room is great for large parties, banquets, bonanzas, meetings and dances. The room includes its own bar and external access.

To rent the ballroom or dining room call the post and ask for the banquet manager

Pavilion

A Post wouldn’t be complete without an outside place to have fun. Our pavilion fits the bill. Fully loaded with picnic tables, a solid concrete floor, and plenty of lawn space around it is perfect for parties and feeds. Fully electric with lights to keep you going into the evening and fans to keep you cool in the summer heat the pavilion is great for three season fun.
